FAQ — Ground Transportation

  1. What are the main types of ground transportation you offer?

Unitex organizes road (FTL, LTL), rail transportation and multimodal solutions (rail + car, Ro-Ro + car) depending on the client’s needs. For refrigerated cargo, we offer a refrigerated fleet with temperature monitoring.

  1. How long does it take to deliver from Europe to Ukraine by road?

Typical time is 3-7 days, depending on the country of origin, customs procedures, route volume and delivery mode (priority/standard). For example, Poland-Kyiv – 3-5 days; Germany – 3-6 days.

  1. Is insurance required for ground transportation?

We recommend cargo insurance. Unitex provides insurance programs with different coverages according to the value and risks of the cargo: from basic CIP to extended coverage with temperature risk criteria.

  1. Does Unitex help with customs clearance?

Yes. We organize full customs support through our broker partners, prepare a package of documents and accompany the cargo until customs clearance. For complex consignments, we recommend using preliminary declarations to speed up the procedure.

  1. How is the cost of ground delivery calculated?

The cost depends on the volume and weight, type of transport, route length, complexity of registration and the need for additional services (insurance, warehousing). We prepare individual commercial offers after assessing the cargo and analyzing the optimal routes.

  1. What to do if you are delayed at the border?

Unitex has response procedures: rerouting, reserve warehouses, prompt contact with customs and insurers. Each case is analyzed to minimize losses and optimize further deliveries.

  1. What documents are required for the export of agricultural products?

Typically: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate or veterinary certificate (depending on the product), shipping bills. We help to create a complete list for a specific delivery.
